The Pau Ferro, in my
opinion this is the nicest fingerboard wood there is. It is
rock solid with nice tight grain structure. If you've never
tried it, do yourself a favor and order one on your next
neck! I'm always on the
lookout for interesting neck and fingerboard woods,
especially those with unusual character. Please ask about
availability and price.
All the necks utilize a dual
action truss rod that provides plenty of adjustment.
All necks
include frets and surface dots unless you ask me not to
install them. Frets are fully dressed,
leveled, and polished after installation.
Feel free to inquire if you have
something odd special to meet your needs. Pricing is fair,
and some "custom" things that make your new neck just what
you need may not even add to the price at all.

FREE OPTION EXAMPLES
HEEL
POSITION - Single cut guitar necks need more heel.
You can choose the fret location of the full heel. A standard
neck has the heel around the 19th fret, however you might want
yours to be around the 15th for that single cut body.
SURFACE
DOTS - You may choose to leave the dots off, or have
them installed along the edge. I stock 4mm, 5mm
abalone and MOP. You have some flexibility as to where you want
them too.

NOTE ABOUT BINDING
Binding adds a
really nice touch to your neck, however it is very labor
intensive. A fingerboard alone can add several hours to the over
all time it takes to make the neck. I try to keep this fee as
low as possible and I don't charge extra unless your request is
very very difficult.
Headstock binding
can be very difficult especially with multi-layer applications.
This service is available by request only and the fee will be
based on how complicated or simple your headstock design is. |
